- What's being discussed in this article?
The all girls Totia high school in Afganistan was evacuated due to an apparent poison gas attack. It is believed this attack was initiated by "the enemies of women's education". - When did the event happen? (Is this breaking news or something that's been analyzed and discussed for a while?)
This specific attack occurred on August 25th, 2010 at 10:30 A.M., but it has been said that there have been five similar cases dealt with in Kabul this year and eleven more around the country. - What questions do you have that would help make this article make more sense to you? What more do you need to learn about to be able to report on this event?
Since I read Three Cups of Tea, I understand more the building of the girls schools and how precious they are to the community, but I would like to know more about the people who are against women's education. Why are they against it? What do they believe they are accomplishing by hurting these schools?

Major Events in Lifetime
My Life
9/11 - I was at first at my house when I heard a plane crashed into one of the twin towers. When I got to school, I could see the 5th graders were allowed to watch the news on the attack in class but since I was in 3rd grade, we were not allowed.
Hurricane Katrina - I was at Whitfield when I first really heard about the hurricane. We adopted a family and brought things for them during the school year. I was in 7th grade.
BP Oil Spill - It was Sunday night and I was watching 60 minutes with my family. One of the workers on the rig was telling the story of what happened when it blew up.
My dad
Nixon resignation- He was in junior high and watched it live on TV. He remembers the feeling being surreal to watch a president resign.
JFK assassination - He was in the basement of his great-grandfathers house on Washington Avenue and was watching it on TV.
First moon landing - He was 12, 13 years old and was watching it on TV.
My mom
Nixon resignation - Was in Chicago in father's apartment.
Hurricane Andrew - Was in first house on Cornell and watched central Florida be destroyed.
Sandra Day O'Connor First Woman Supreme Court Justice - High school watching TV.
